Pest control marketing

Marketing for pest control companies, built on search

Ads, door knocking and bought leads all stop the day you stop paying. Search keeps working. We are the search side of your marketing: SEO, seasonal content, a website that sells plans, and a steady stream of reviews, timed to the pest calendar.

Plate 01 / The plan

One plan, four parts, one calendar

Pest control marketing usually grows in layers: a website from years ago, a Business Profile someone set up once, a postcard run in spring, a lead service that calls everyone at once. Each piece works a little. None of them work together.

Our plan puts search at the center and lines it up with your season. Keyword research says which services and towns are worth chasing. Content adds the page each season needs, six to eight weeks before it's needed. Links make those pages rank. The website turns the visit into a plan, and the review routine keeps the map results warm.

Whatever you already run, ads, a door-to-door team, mailers, gets a better landing page and a stronger brand search out of it. People who get a postcard or a knock on the door usually look you up before they say yes.

Plate 02 / Channels

What each kind of pest control marketing is good for

An honest comparison, including the channels we don't sell. Costs depend on your market, so we compare how each one behaves rather than quoting prices we can't know.

Plate 03 / Words

Exterminator, pest control, bug guy: say what your customers say

Customers don't all use the same words. In some places "exterminator" is the everyday word; in others it sounds dated and people type "pest control" or the pest itself: "termite company", "mouse removal", "wasp nest removal". Commercial buyers search for "pest management" and "IPM".

Before we write a page, we check what people in your towns actually search, then use those words in titles, headings and your Business Profile services. That is how one company ranks for both "exterminator [town]" and "pest control [town]" without stuffing either.

Plate 04 / Content

Seasonal pages, written for homeowners

Content plans add pages at the pace your calendar needs: a termite inspection page in winter, a mosquito season plan page in early spring, rodent exclusion in late summer. Written plainly for the homeowner standing in the kitchen with the problem, with your process, your towns and what happens after they call.

Small companies, big competitors

Not pest control: a small software company that grew demo sign-ups 1200% against Asana and Trello by targeting searches the giants ignored, and a window tinting company that reached page one in dozens of California cities. The same playbook a local pest company uses against national brands.

Field notes from clients

What clients say about working with our team

From clients in other trades and online businesses, in their own words, lightly shortened.

"At first I had a small issue with one of the reports: a couple of links were not loading. Support answered the same day and replaced everything with fresh links. That gave me a lot of confidence that they stand behind their work. Since starting in June, traffic has doubled and I have referred two friends already."

FAQ

Pest control marketing questions

How do I market my pest control business?

Start with what a customer is worth over the years they stay, then pick channels by how fast you need customers and what each one costs per signed plan. Most growing companies combine something fast (ads, door-to-door, mailers) with search, which takes months but keeps bringing calls. Make sure every channel lands on a website that sells the plan.

What does a pest control marketing agency do?

It depends on the agency. Some run ads, some sell leads, some build websites. We do search: SEO, seasonal content, websites and the review routine. We don't manage ad spend or sell shared leads, and we will tell you when one of those makes more sense than SEO for a given season.

Is "exterminator marketing" any different from pest control marketing?

Not in substance. Some regions and customers say exterminator, others say pest control, bug guy or termite company. Your pages and Business Profile should use the words your customers use. We check which terms people in your towns actually search before writing anything.

How much should a pest control company spend on marketing?

Work backwards from customer value. If one recurring customer is worth $1,500 over three years and you close half the people who call, you can afford a lot more per call than a company selling one-off sprays. Our SEO packages run $125 to $575 a month; content plans start at $26 a month.

Do you do social media for pest control companies?

No. Social posts don't move search rankings much. They can help with recognition and referrals, and a few photos a month of real jobs is worth doing yourself. Our budget goes into the work that ranks.

What marketing ideas work in the slow season?

Winter is when search work is cheapest to do and pays off by spring: write next season's pages, ask the year's customers for reviews, fix your listings, and build links. Offering winter rodent exclusion and overwintering pest service also keeps routes busier.
